The Nigerian Independence Day is celebrated every year on October 1st. It’s a very special and important event in the history of Nigeria as it marks the independence from their former colonial master. The country was once a colony of Great Britain until it became an independent and free state on October 1st, 1960.
Happy Birthday Nigeria! The country is 61 today and here is wishing every Nigerian out there a happy and fulfilling Nigeria Independence Day celebration.

There was a stakeholder meeting held at Yaba Bus Terminal on the 29th of September, 2021 regarding the closure of Ojuelegba Road (Tejuosho Market – Oando Filling Station) for the Yaba Overpass Bridge construction which is to commence effective from Friday 1st October, 2021. According to LAMATA, to meet the target of the 3rd quarter next year, which is when the Rail would start operation, there’s a need to also extend the bridge towards Ojuelegba.
This means that there won’t be any vehicular access into Ojuelegba from the Rail Crossing and Oando Filling Station. The reason for the closure of the road is for them to do the pilling works and also construct the access road which is going to be on the right and on the left where vehicular movement would be allowed in the next 3 months.
Furthermore, LAMATA assured everyone that the closure of the road won’t exceed the 3 months as fully stated.
