CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE
Cast-in-place concrete work at the K-KLAMP site is ongoing. This is the construction of forms for the walls to cast, installing of the forms, and then pouring of the mixed liquid concrete into the removable forms. To make the concrete even stronger, steel reinforcement bars are inserted in the form before the concrete is poured in. The form is then dismantled once the concrete has hardened to leave a solid foundation behind.
It is very important to do this because it is relatively resistant to structural damage in the event of an earthquake, flood, or other natural disasters.
